Life in Athens has been upended by the coronavirus, and

the people most affected are those in the restaurant and healthcare industries. This site was created as a means to help both. Through the generosity of many, we hope to provide business to valued local restaurants while feeding healthcare providers working tirelessly on behalf of our community. 

How it works.

STEP 1: Click the Sign Up button that leads you to a Sign Up Genius page.

STEP 2: On Sign Up Genius, find a hospital and shift that would like a donated meal.

STEP 3: Pick a restaurant from the provided list, call and order the meals.

A note to Athens Restaurants:

The Athens page went live on 4/21. Our goal is to ensure that the food being delivered to hospitals has been safely prepared and delivered. If you have a restaurant that would like to participate, please email mealbridgedc@gmail.com. Our intention is to support as many local restaurants as possible, but bear with us as this is a grassroots effort.

A note to Athens Hospitals:

If your staff would like to receive meals from The Meal Bridge please reach out to mealbridgedc@gmail.com with the contact information for you Administrator. Once we receive approval from the hospital, we will work with local restaurants in your area to provide meals as soon as we can.

A bit about The Meal Bridge

In response to the coronavirus pandemic, The Meal Bridge was started

by an Atlanta family to help people working in the restaurant and healthcare fields. Fortunately, the idea has been well received beyond Atlanta.
We are happy to welcome Athens, GA as the next city to join the effort.
