Let's keep Seattle
and Puget Sound
restaurants busy
and our healthcare
workers well fed.
The first confirmed case of COVID-19 in the United States was diagnosed in Everett, Washington (a city north of Seattle) on January 21, 2020. Since then, life in the Puget Sound area has been upended by the coronavirus, and many of the people most affected are those in the restaurant and healthcare industries. Our hope is that this website will serve as a bridge between the generosity of many and those who are in need. You can show your gratitude to healthcare providers working tirelessly on behalf of our community while helping our valued local restaurants stay afloat during this crisis.

How it works.

STEP 2: On Sign Up Genius, find a hospital and shift that would like a donated meal.
STEP 3: Pick a restaurant from the provided list, call and order the meals.

A note to Seattle and
Puget Sound Restaurants:
The Seattle page went live on 4/8. We are seeking approval for any and all interested restaurants. We've discovered that each participating hospital has an approval process for food delivery. If you have a restaurant that would like to participate in The Meal Bridge, please send your contact information to the email below and we will add you to the approval list. There are no favorites here. We want to help as many people as possible, but this is a grassroots effort, and like everyone else during this trying time, we're doing our best.
Restaurants, please click here
for important meal prep information.
A note to Seattle and
Puget Sound Hospitals:
If your staff would like to receive donated restaurant meals from big-hearted Seattle citizens, please send the contact information for your Administrator and we will start the process. Once your Hospital gives approval, we will identify participating restaurants in your area and include them in the Meal Bridge program.
A bit about The Meal Bridge
In response to the coronavirus pandemic, The Meal Bridge was started
by an Atlanta family to help people working in the restaurant and healthcare fields. Fortunately, the idea has been well received beyond Atlanta.
We are happy to welcome Seattle as the next city to join the effort.
